Color tone maple leaf breaths all in a sort of mute way. Mother mary figurines scattered throughout the house floor....a step into a leap of the cleanest oak shine. A carpet made of soil all filled with seed for the winter months. A clean five day outlook....Sift through the carbon.....Glide through the monoxide. Another meeting... another day. Bring blue back into your eye....see the way towards the sun. Before the rest it will all be ochre and we can sleep again . Here comes the rays ......it's time to sit and push all this color your way.....

Time to get back to work..... the break is over.

The gift of titanium white marble ...From one canal to another we stand up in dangerous snowstorms and freeze our fingertips to the bone. What have we done to turn this frown right side up. This bedridden dirt hole...This grass cover blanket. You look so imbedded and calm... I will leave you for another day. Lets take a walk in knee level tar pits while we gasp for multi level air breaths. I only asked where you were going and you only replied in glances. Journey well ....Be guided by the antlers of elders in a walking stick manner... The stairs are steep, the railing is frail but it's been done again and again. The path you walk on is a stalemate.... a circle....a spiral going up. Never look down .....Never look down.

On a weak fimble dead branch. I swim in the gigabyte skyline, full of code a chaos I beat the turning cogs with a slow walk. Given two looks back and a half broken cheek bone we frown upon our fallen failures. Brimful and anger seep down the face until you explode into technicolor heartbeats. We cathode into a fine white line of current with a shelve life of a thousand days ...half of which rain and the other snow. Slow down i say to myself ....Slow down. Out of moment memories ...slip disc bone breaks bring me back to you again and again. Antlers will grow and break leaking alternate current. See me somewhere I see you there.

I had a dream and I was treading water in a black sea. I could feel the sharks underneath hitting the bottoms of my feet. I saw rolling waves and large tails of white whales kicking out of the darkness of the deep. I was calm and collect but never let my head go below the surface because all I had to do was breath in and the manta ray would carry me where i was not ready to journey. I traveled well up until this point and the dry land seem a vague song where no lyrics were to be found. I am now rolling with these massive black bodies of hammerheads and the cotton white plankton surrounding my ribcage ....They are all looking for the heart, or they just need the soul. I thought it would be more sentimental but the ashes of my loved ones sifted through the water like they had no destination. I guess their journey went well. I can tread water for a long time .... a creature of this sea.... I will follow the code of the wave.

I can't even begin to describe how much these two guys influenced me from a little kid to now. Everything I paint and want to paint and will paint is because of these two guys......Greg and Tim Hildebrandt better known to the illustration world as "The Brothers Hildebrandt" began their careers 1959. The Brothers have worked on documentary films and thousands of illustrations for, text books, children's books, calendars, book covers, posters, comic books, advertisements, movie posters, production design for films, collectables and trading card games.

They became internationally known for the original Star Wars movie poster and the 1976, 1977, and 1978 JRR Tolkien Lord of the Rings calendars. Over the last forty-two years Greg Hildebrandt and Tim Hildebrandt have received recognition from their fans in the genres of fantasy, science fiction, comic art, pinup art, western art, religious art, comic strip art, and sequential art.

One thing I really enjoy besides painting is Black and white photography.....I look at these images and I am amazed on how beautiful the human body can be. Women are the most beautiful creatures on earth and I feel inspired when I see images like this....Inspired by the curves , shadows and contour. This makes me want to paint the female form in grey tones. What a gift to have found this today.

I sometimes feel as if I am walking a tightrope. I have been for a long time , years maybe even decades. I have come close to falling so many times but I always manage to straighten myself upright. I keep walking this fine line, alway keeping in mind that one of these days I will fall. I am not sure what is worse, worrying about the fall or keeping my balance on this little rope. I know that there is no platform waiting for me at the end of the rope. This whole meticulous walk is part of the process. It's 11:56 here in LOS ANGELES almost a new day. Goodnight my beautiful city , be good to one another, stay balanced on that rope.

I was invited to live paint at the Beyond Eden Art Fair this past saturday. I had a great time , I met some really nice people and the Los Angeles art museum was really peaceful and a great place to paint. I kind of wish I could go there from time to time to paint alone on the grounds....But I guess one night is better than nothing .

There is something about the library, The smell of the old books, the tables that seem to be the perfect place to sit and let your head sink into the memory of youth, like a nice chair and an old reading lamp in a quiet room on a cold night. . I got to take a little walk back there recently . I took pics of some things I feel stayed in my head and i go back to when I am doing a painting. I made this painting for Nintendo, They will be releasing there new handheld ds system and the launch party is this saturday at city walk in Los angels. The plan is to blow this painting up 9 ft. high and 15 ft. wide , then people will be able to pose in front of it during the party. After I paint all day, I like to set my studio up with all the night time lights then sit and relax,I think about things I want to accomplish, mostly about the painting I am working on at the moment ,but sometimes other things pop up . It feels good to sit in quiet and reflect. I guess that is why my art is not a banner with some message of the times. It's more for putting on your night lights and thinking about your life while everything is still and quiet.
